I have been waiting for this day to come for a while as my life has been a bore and a half since I have returned from Singapore. It's going to be one heck of a semester and hopefully I can do well so that I can go back to Singapore in June/July.

Since my last post, I have been to and from Bathurst for the third time. Sydney is getting a bit hectic for me. The folks are giving me the shits. It shows how different Dad and Mum are I suppose. It is just way more chilled in Singapore that's all.

I managed to catch up with Matt, Georgie, Lumpy, and Ed on Saturday night at Cherry Jam for a little bit and it was nice to see them after like half a year. It is true that people can change in that period of time, and it really feels weird with me hanging out back here. This doesn't feel real. Anyways, time to get out of bed and drop the mother at work.

What a Bore

So I've been home for roughly a week and a half and since then I have been to Bathurst twice. It just shows how boring and hectic Sydney can get at times. I miss Singapore to the hills. Friends and family who live there have grown so close to one another and I am missing out on all the action. This semester for university is gonna be one hell of a toughie for me as well. Just looking at a few of my subject outlines and there is copious amounts of work to be done, though I can't wait to get stuck right into it.

Everytime I go back to Singapore, I think that it might just be a phase. Even this time last year, I come back feeling that whatever happens there doesn't really matter. I have no reasoning to this however. Today I see it more as home rather than a holiday destination. There are a few things which make me feel I am close to the place. Firstly my friends, I wouldn't even know what I'd be doing without them. Then comes my Dad's side of the family, along with my grandmother (Mum's side). And then there is that one last little piece of business which, knowing me, will take a long time to complete.

It's time to get active and play soccer once again. I've realised that playing takes my mind off things for a bit, and I am one that thinks a lot, especially about what the future beholds.

Sydney Life

So it has been exactly 72 hours since my return home and I am already getting sick of this place. As I said to Gareth, this place is real but the persona's are fake but in Singapore you can say it is the exact opposite. I can say I'd rather a real persona hence the reason I want to live in Singapore in the near future. I guess there are more reasons than just this to living there but some things just can't be said.

Bali was awesome, though for just a day, I could really see myself going there for more holidays = a week at the most otherwise I'll start to get bored. Was awesome to catch up with Pablo, Jo and Saff; they are what I call genuine people.

My bad habits are slowly catching up with me once again, as much as I don't want it to, it keeps me sane, especially when I am at home..... Things can really get out of hand in this house but I guess it is more about being patient, as I always am.

Singapore Holiday

So it has been one hell of a holiday here, a rollercoaster of emotions as some would know. Left confused at times, I managed to battle my way through the one and a half months I have spent in Singapore and Bali. Now as I commence my second last day, the friends I have here will always be treasured and I hope I won't lose them because I wouldn't know what I'd do without them. I would have liked to have spent a bit more time with my closest and oldest friend, but his school commitments and my own commitments with moving to a new house and getting ready for my fathers wedding prevented us from hanging out a bit more often.

The wedding was just absolutely amazing. Nothing can describe how I was feeling when my father's now-to-be wife was walking down the aisle. Jo looked absolutely stunning as did Dad (who forgot his vowels). Though it ended early, I was so happy to be able to spend time with my cousins from both sides and just being able to sit down and have a chat as one big family, which I feel I haven't experienced before. It shows how tight knit the whole family is and that we would do absolutely anything for each other though we are all and different ends of the world. The one thing I have always treasured is that I share a second to none relationship with my Step-Parents and they have given me the world. Though times are starting to get boring in Singapore, I wish I could stay on to amend things I am truly scared of getting close to though these will be mentioned at another time.

So it's just one more year of University and I'm done.....finished! I have been telling everyone that my career is going to be huge, something I will always be grateful for, as I was rather lucky to enter Uni considering my final mark. I will truly miss Dad and Jo whilst I am away. Their company is awesome and I feel I can speak to them about anything, from relationship problems (not that I had any) to whatever is troubling me and the advice they give me is great, as they will support Gareth and myself in whatever we do. The two of us have set goals in our lives and we want to be able to achieve these. Gareth is going to be huge with BOS this year and I am there to support him in whatever way possible. Though we do have our differences at times, we will always need to be there for each other.

So there's my first post. It's been a great holiday, not restful, but an experience that will stay with me for a while. I'm going to miss all my family and friends but work is calling in Sydney and that must be attended to.

Peace
